I have an awesome sister!

A week after Claire was born my sister, Kathryn, came to town for a visit. She tended Claire and let us get some much needed time sleeping in. She also cooked, baked, and cleaned for us. We wish she would come back! We planned the visit a few months in advance with a whole list of things we wanted to do together. Next time we'll have to try it when I'm not recovering from birth. Since South Dakota is lacking in ethnic food we had Spanish paella, Greek gyros, Indian mango lassi drinks, Russian piroshkis, and Thai food. We went shopping to Anthropologie and MAC for make-up. Kathryn loves country dancing so she also went to a country western store and went dancing on the weekend. We had a movie night and watched Under the Tuscan Sun. She got to meet Rich's dad Bill and Christa who were in town.  She also got to meet some of my dance friends and we had a yummy lunch that they brought with them.  My friends loved meeting Claire and they got to hear the whole birth story.  Kathryn got to put faces to the women I've been telling her about for so long.  Here are pictures of us all at lunch.  The last picture is of Kathryn & I saying good-bye at the airport. We hugged and cried for a long time, not knowing when we'll see each other next. Eileen's family who is reading this: it's time for a family reunion!
